Personal Goal Statement
Personal Philosophy and Goal Statement The way a person believes is usually influenced by various different life factors, which is why no one ever agrees on everything. We all have our own aspect of life. The place where one begins to learn and pick up from is usually home with family. Although there are many things including, friends, books, media, income; and even race, gender, and ethnicity that contribute to why people believe differently. My own beliefs, I think have been influenced by family of course, but also by my own personal knowledge and experience; which is only gained by living. I believe, the most important thing for a person's life should be to get an education. We often grow up depending on our parents for material …show more content…
My father became ill and disabled, and my family and I went from having everything to being limited on various things. That was when it struck to me that without an education one can not have a secure future and that my life would stay the same. So I began to take school seriously and successfully graduated high school with a 3.0 grade point average. I immediately knew teaching was what I wanted to do. Life is different now for my family and I, we moved to a new place, away from family and friends; but I can not let that interfere with my education. I strongly encourage everyone to do the same. I believe education is and will always be significantly important to ones life. The belief I have towards education brings many goals for me to work …show more content…
My first job in California was tutoring elementary school children; using the experience I gained I hope to find a job quickly. This is a significant goal to me because my parents no longer work and I have to make money to come to school and buy my necessities. I am striving for a job at a day care, I enjoy working with children. It brings

a great pleasure to know I have taught a child something new and that I can have a positive impact in their lives. I plan to continue my education; after my Associates degree, I want to transfer to the University of Texas in El Paso and work on my Bachelors degree. Finishing that would be a great accomplishment that would bring lots of joy to my life. I would be the first one in my family to graduate from a university with a degree, but what motivates me the most is that it would be a compensation for my parents. For all they have done for me. When I have my Bachelors degree I hope to find a job teaching. I want to begin teaching elementary school level and then move forward to high school. While working I want to continue to go to college and work on my Master's degree. I understand my goals will be difficult to achieve and that it will bring a lot of obstacles but I hope to run through

After reading the "Do it Better" handout in class my views on how anyone can improve in school and life have changed drastically. With my experiences in life my mindset in how important school education is changed how I view learning. Getting an education to me is very important because I think people who are educated do better in life and are more wealthy. Some people need someone or something to help them build confidence in many aspects of life. For example, when I was in high school my parents reminded me that getting a high school diploma is very important and I was determined to graduate. Many things can make an impact on how your life can…

The most important goal for my future is to obtain a satisfying career. Growing up I saw how unhappy my mother was working at a job that she hated just to make enough to provide for our family. I further understood how important a satisfying career was to me when I started working the graveyard shift as a dockworker during community college. I strongly disliked almost everything about the job including the exposure to extreme temperatures, the job’s filthy nature, the long and irregular hours, and most of all because it was unfulfilling. I was miserable with my occupation but I was dependent on it because it was lucrative and provided me with a way to support myself through college. I worked fulltime at this job for two years while also being a fulltime student until I transferred to SIU. The dread that I felt toward my job made me work harder academically because I knew that someday my hard work would amount to a career that I thoroughly…

My main goal right now is to graduate from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I love children and have always had a passion to teach children of all ages. I continued babysitting and childcare until I graduated from high school. At age seventeen, I became one of the Children’s Church teachers, and continue to do so today. I was a Middle School…

I realize how hard things are getting in the real word. Careers are becoming harder to find and to keep, therefore I’m willing to get an education to get a good career. I never really had people to motivate me to stay in school until my senior year in high school. I opened up to my English teacher about a couple things, and she made me realize a lot. I remember being younger and my father telling me to say in school, but after he left I didn’t have much motivation. My English teacher always pushed me into doing my work and staying in school. It felt nice knowing she cared about me getting an education. She helped me with scholarship applications, with getting everything done to get into college and helped me out with anything I needed.…

I believe in education being the true way to success and without education I will not accomplish my goals in life, would just be a life casualty to society which should not be so because all of us have the option to go to school and get an education but some of us choose otherwise and get ourselves caught up in the wrong company at school and that is when the future that god has in store for us starts to fade away.…

The value of education is something that I have understood since a very young age. Neither of my parents had an opportunity to attend college, and faced many struggles in their personal and professional lives because of this. They made a commitment early in my life to do everything within their power to instill in me a love of learning and an understanding of the importance of hard work and dedication. Because of their love and sacrifice over the years, I have been able to devote the time and energy necessary to academic accomplishment even though money has always been tight. Additionally, I have also been active in my school and community outside of the classroom, serving as an officer and team captain in several campus programs.…

First, to be successful, you have to get an education. Nowadays, the more technologies develop, the more important education is. For instance, if you want to find a good job and have a good pay, at least you have to have a degree. After four years studying hard in the university, I got my bachelor and found a great job with high salary. My position was a manager of study. I managed over 500 students each semester, supervising them and working with their parents about financial aid. I really enjoyed my job and was so proud of myself. I thought that it was worth my time studying so hard. On the contrary, my friend, Ly did not want to go to college; she said that when she got married to a rich husband then she did not need an education and care about making money. Now she tells me she feels very regret for her choice. She tries to apply for a job everywhere; they all refuse her because she does not have any degree. Living without money, job or rich boyfriend makes her stress and depression. However, I am also very glad that she finally realizes how important education is. She promises me she will go back to school and get a bachelor as soon as she can. In general, I think getting an education not only give us more options in career paths but also teaches us how to think to do the right things.…

Life is a learning process, a puzzle especially in a student life which imposes much sacrifice and plenty of restless days. It is a way to help us, people, to become better individuals if we have the ability to recognize our weakness and strength. For that purpose, we have to walk through it as if we have something new to learn every time. In anything we choose to be or to do, our skills will make us achieve our goals or improve the areas where our weakness is noticed. That weakness, usually, can be overcome if our ability to realize a fact is known.…

My entire life, while growing up, we have to rely on our parents for the things we need. We reach out to our family for advice, money, and the desired item of the day. We rely on them to help us get our license, then our first car, and car insurance. College for me, leads to freedom, to adulthood. Every day, I learn more and more to rely on myself and becoming the man that I am meant to be.…

Growing up, my parents always told me that the key to having a successful life was through an education. My father and I have viewed the importance of an education very differently. My dad graduated high school with his diploma at almost the top of his class. Unlike me, who barely completed high school and ended up testing out with my GED. Right after high school, he went to college at Western Washington University, graduating with his Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual and Communications. On the contrary, I joined the military and went into the medical field. I am now almost 24-years-old and going to a community college.…
