My Leadership Philosophy
1. My definition of leadership is, an individual that can inspire a group to perform a task, no matter how unpleasant, quickly and efficiently. These skills are accumulated over a length of time, throughout a career and life experiences. These leadership skills I have developed were through interactions and guidance from leaders that were both inspirational and motivating. I endeavor to display these same traits outward to the people that have worked for me and I have worked with.

2. Leadership influences I have had during my career have included several of the best leaders I could have hoped to have worked for and at key points during my career. The leaders that stand out the most in my mind would show you the way, then allow you to expand on that knowledge. They would allow you to fail, then pick you up and explain what went wrong. If there were major issues or causalities on equipment they would roll up their sleeves and be right next to you fixing the problem. This is what I believe that motivated my leadership style, which was to get the task accomplished first, my priority was not on subordinates ideas or opinions.

3. Leadership behaviors I feel I must make a priority to improve would be to first, appeal to others to share an exciting dream of the future. I must be more forthcoming with my members and expand on plans that are being

This will allow the greatest amount of input from various team members to provide constructive information and thoughts which will resolve these problems in a more timely and efficient manner. This will cause a greater feeling of empowerment and overall buy in for these projects, making them more

Lastly, my philosophy on leadership is simple: lead by example, always help, and never quit. Quitting is out of the question for me. Using excuses instead of giving your best, giving up on something (or someone), or abandoning your responsibilities are things I absolutely do not believe in. Promoting excellence in others starts with promoting it in yourself. I have found from being in…

My philosophy of leadership is just that, to be a leader. I will be held accountable for the issues that arise in my school building. As the leader, I need to be able to drive my staff and students in the direction where success and sense of accomplishment is in reach. Each staff members, student, and parents needs to be on board and focus on the outcome. When leading a large group of staff members, a leader must rely on trust, consistency, and honesty to gain respect of the staff.…

Regarding leadership behaviors, I have some room for improvement. I was surprised to learn that while I was viewed in a positive way, people felt that my “bigheartedness” placed too much work on myself, and that I should not try to do everything myself. This is surely a point that I must improve on. I cannot expect other people to be able to expand if I continue to soak up what could be growth opportunities for other people. I can see where I developed this issue, as I worked with many poor examples of leaders while I was coming up in the Coast Guard, and in every instance they did not help their people, and had an absentee problem.…

As a leader it is important to be self-aware of your interaction with others as well as in your decisions. Often as leaders, we have a host of issues that we are juggling which can cause frustration and can break down communication avenues. It is important to be introspective as a leader identifying where changes could be made for a better outcome. Part of leadership is the ability to make a difference under difficult circumstances. But, what is a leader? A leader is a person or thing that holds a dominant or superior position within its field, and is able to exercise a high degree of control or influence over others. I portray the qualities that a leader has: persistance, determination, confidence, and passion. This past summer my gymnastics career went to the next level; I was offered a job at the gymnasium.…

Throughout history a strong show of leadership has proven to be a dominant, driving force to inspire respect and trust from those around you. As I move forward in my life past the foreseeable future, I find that the necessary skills in life skills were not the ones that you dreaded learning. The leadership skills and characteristics that define you are the ones that take place outside of the classroom, not my grades, GPA, or class rank. It academic knowledge that I have acquired through self-interest and dedication to my personal success and the success of others. My philosophy boils down to this: just care about your team and seek to improve yourself and others. If you care about your team members and the team’s success, all else can fall into place. Leadership is a daily practice that seeks to better oneself and others. There are lots of books written on the topic of leadership, its meaning, and how to exercise it. However, the best lessons don’t come from a book. Instead, good leaders continually use their experiences to develop a leadership philosophy (or style) that’s driven by beliefs, values, and principles. These principles are rules, shaped by our values and beliefs, which dictate and guide behavior.…

My leadership philosophy is based off of my experiences as a college student, an employee of corporate America and all my assigned responsibilities as a Soldier. As a leader, I believe in mentoring Soldiers and being accessible. I am open to constructive criticism and remain flexible on improving myself. I recognize that the success achieved by my subordinates is the result of them overcoming their challenges through hard work. When my Soldiers are thriving then I’m successful. Having scheduled monthly meetings to identify any system issues or Soldier concerns will provide me with the information needed to make appropriate decisions.…

When i heard the word leadership, i first think about myself to consider if I'm a good example of leader or not. The most important piece of leadership is self-leadership. If a person can't lead herself/himself, how is she/he going to lead others? A good example of leader should know what he/she wants, his/her goal, what he/she can do, and where he/she are is going to coupled with the ability to influence his/her communication, emotions, and behaviors on the way of getting there. If you are an honest, good listener, respectful, well educated, Friendly, confidence, organized and enthusiastic person, then you make a good example of leadership. A leader should treated others the way he or she want to be treated. When you are responsible for a group of people, you'd want them to respect you so you need to be honest with hem, no matter what the circumstance is. Respect others to earn respect from others. Be a good listener and don't be selfish. Excitement is contagious. When a leader is motivated and excited about the cause people will be more inclined to follow. Influencing others to change is a very hard one to do. But first, you must do what you want them to d and understand their view of the world, because not everyone view the world the same. One of the most important key to change a person is resistance. We might not agree with them, but being a good listener and try to understand is a way to do it. Once we know more about their issues and concerns you can help them see a different perspective. Enthusiasm can change the world. Nothing great could not achieved without enthusiasm. Us, teenagers are often very future oriented, We feel that our whole life is ahead of us, and we are enthusiastic about all of the possibilities. You can change the world. You need confidence, be enthusiastic and be positive. Life is mostly what you make it! I think the way we deliver the message is more important than the message we have because Because the way we deliver the message…
