I am pleased to say that several teachers have mentioned this in my report card: “She is an enthusiastic student who sets herself to high standards” and “has demonstrated excellent skills in practical classes, is confident and well organized.” In Indonesian, I try to gain an understating of the language, an also an understanding of the culture. I feel as though I have “developed and thorough vocabulary” and I “appreciate the diverse culture of Indonesia.” These two points relate directly back to one of the PLP capabilities, Ethical understanding and Intercultural understanding. The last PLP capability is Information and Communication technology, which I need to improve on some more. This means I learn best through words and languages. My preferred learning style, according to the test, is through interpretation and explanation of ideas and information via language, written and spoken pieces of text (narratives, poetry, expositorys) and I am able to understand the relationships between communication and meaning. I agree with this result as I have always enjoyed English, and like using my imagination to create stories. I have also always enjoyed Indonesian, as I like the idea of being able to communicate with others in the natural tongue.
