Crooked pinkies: And How They Affected Me in a Very Real Way. CRACK! Another brutal punch to the face. as I lay on the ground and weep my assailants proceed to mauck me and utterly discriminate me. I never asked for this treatment nor have i ever tried to offend anyone to the point of physically abusing me ,but still there name-calling and rude coments flood my ears. My name is Dylan and I have crooked pinkies. It runs in my family, my mom had them and same for her mom, and unfortunately the trait graciously got passed on to me.
I could never really understand why people couldn't accept my crooked pinkies, they are like any other old pinky, just a little bit inverted. It all started in

the school was already completely packed; we could already tell that this was going to be a dance to remember. we walked up to the doors and paid our five dollar fee and waked in. the only thing on my mind was delilah. i didn't see her so jackson and i went and hung out with some of his friends. they we cool so we talked about video-games and which girl looked best or worst. after about 15 minutes i started to get very worried, i had still not had sight of delilah. it was just me and jackson again, most of his friends had went to dance or had decided to leave. the minutes felt like hours. i started thinking she decided not to come or maybe she had an emergency. we just sat there waiting, and discussing what we were going to do later that night. 30 minutes into the dance jackson wanted to leave and i had lost hope of making my move. as we walked towards the door i see someone come in….delilah. she was in a long blue dress i immediately stopped and so did jackson. i knew i had to make my move before someone else had the chance but i was terrified.i just stood there, paralyzed, as she walked bye. i noticed other guys starting to approach her so i took a deep breath and approached her. i tapped her on the

32 “Well its actually happening ma’, I’m goin’ back to school.”Rufus said. “I want you to know, I truly am proud of you Rufus.” His mother replied. Curtis and Janet went to a different school then Rufus but he still walked them to school then walked himself to school. On his way to school a car followed him very slowly but Rufus kept walking. When he got to school it looked the same on the outside that it always had. Rufus pushed open the doors at Searingtown School and yelled “I’m back!” All of his friends ran over to hug him. He went down to the office to get a tour he thought he didn’t need because he remembered every single solitary thing about this place. While the tour was going on everything going on was a blur. He looked left, right and left again, admiring the changes the school had made. “Wow” he sighed. “Is there a problem Rufus?” the tour guide asked. Rufus answered, “When I was here the wall paint was all chipped, there were broken windows and holes in the walls.” “Oh ok, well that concludes our tour and this door on your right is your first period class.” The tour guide replied. Rufus walked in and sat at an available seat at the back of the class room. He opened his notebook and took notes even though he didn’t understand anything that was going on. By the time 5th period came around it was time for lunch he was starving. All of his friends called him over and asked him to sit with him. Momma didn’t make him a big lunch because they didn’t have that much food in the house and then needed to split it 3 different ways. Allison who used to have a big crush on Rufus sat right next to him. Mitchell and Charlie sat across from him and Christina, Alisha and Sammy sat around them. When the bell rang he went to his locker and when he got to class he looked out the window and saw the same car that followed him to school. The only person he thought of was Simon. But he didn’t have a car? Rufus ran to the office to explain the…

Buy the time we had gotten to her, she was in a full-blown anxiety attack. I was screaming in my head, get her to sit down and someone has to get Matt! When we finally sat her down a stagehand came up to us and reported that they found the doll and had put it in it's place. I saw that he had a headset and before I had comprehended it Abby was almost yelling, "Can you please get Matt and tell him a dancer is having a Panic attack right now!" I had realized by the time Matt had reached us, the ballet had started and we almost had to go on. Matt was on the floor embracing Jadyn, who by now was bawling her eyes…

At 7:30 pm, people started walking in to the theater, just a few minutes after, the audience seats filled with the crowed people who come to support the dancer, or maybe interested in dance performance, and mostly have “dance appreciation fever” like me. After the introduction of director, all the lights dimed down and the curtain slide up. The light focuses in the middle of the proscenium stage where there are group of seven dancers sat down in the middle of the stage ready to perform. They started it off with the piece called Friendships that was choreographer by the Chair of Dance Department and also a director of Collin Dance Ensemble, Tiffanee Arnold. Under the direction of Tiffanee Arnold, Collin College's Dance Program has gained the reputation for excellence in dance education, choreography and performance. Music is Sinking Friendships by Jonsi, this piece was kind of bored to me as an unprofessional audience to really understand the concept of every part of the story they tried to tell. Not very clear, but I can point out some of the movement of the dancer described the image of friendships such as holding hands and dance in circle as a group. And it was ballet so I’m not very interested. Outside topic, the theater was freezing cold. I try to concentrate to the performance to forget the coldness.…

It was late at night, the wind was blowing, the storm was raging, and the power was out. Everyone in my house was in the basement bailing water, or holding flashlights so the people bailing could see where the water laid. Suddenly, the phone starts to ring, I run upstairs to get it. It was Shayanna. She had called to tell me that I had made the part of Susan in the play if I was interested. I went and got my mom, who was sopping up water with some towels at the time, and told her that Shayanna wanted me to play the part of Susan, and that Shayanna would like to talk to her.…
