I am in bright, short shorts, and have my running shoes on with sweat beading on my forehead. I find myself glancing around and see hundreds of people getting ready to race. I do my stretches and smell the cool, fall air. I hear yelling, clapping, and people getting eagerly ready to cheer on their friends and family.
