On-the-Job Training has something to do on educational purposes. As one student of BSHRM (Bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant management On-the-Job Training are much educating for it gives experiences, learning, more ideas, more scenery, and learning more on attending hands on training. I can really learn so much more through experiences, on what I see like in demonstrations.
I see many students from different schools competed to represent their schools. They apply their skills in the different areas of the Hotel. Different styles on their respective expertise. I observe that in entering such trainings. The trainer taught me more on about the hospitality industry, to deal entertain guests, to be contented on the position given, to strive harder even though it's hard, to be successful and have good behavior for in the future I will be one in the hospitality industry. This experience really helped me a lot in conquering the entire situation in my every day shift. Gives us inspirations to set our goals and aim high.
On our line of work, it deals on good behavior, good attitude being respectful and being a good personnel/asset to the company. The training also includes socialization learn to interact with other people, and being friendly. It gives enjoyment of course for us employees/Trainee and also to the customers we are attending to.
There are different areas that I trained when taking up the OJT (On-the-Job Training). Here are the different Areas of the hotel:
1. Front Office
Reservations desk(The one who books reservations)
Information desk (the one who attends calls from Hotel room)
