We strive to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. In addition, we will try to preserve our reputation of providing an excellent quality of coffee.

SOW
The coffee shop project contains a few renovations to an old building. It is my idea to create a vintage café with hopes of attracting tourists as well as locals. I hope that the idea of a vintage café in the hustle of the city attracts people as well as provides them with a sense of ease and relaxation. The renovation ideas include adding new, small, dim lights throughout the ceiling, repainting the walls, the addition of darkly colored wooden floor, purchasing and hanging up vintage style pictures and memorabilia. The use of small round tables and country styled chairs. We hope to renovate a new central air system. The project will start on the 5th of January and Finish by the 26th of February. This project will include a contingency of 50%. A project management team will be assigned to manage all renovations.

Objectives
In our efforts as a coffee shop the objective is to provide a unique project to a community that is located only minutes from all major subway and bus stops and has many openings in the busiest location throughout the five boroughs.

Business Need

After carefully analyzing your Coffee Shoppe, I have found several aspects that are considered strengths and weaknesses. Tim’s Coffee Shoppe has already established its presence in the busy downtown area of Sunnydale, Illinois. Your shop is located by a large college and Horvath and Arbanes Station, which are major bus stations. The shops’ location is great because of the steady traffic flow throughout the day and it is accessible from several parts of town. The shop is lacking a few technological updates as well as organization. From my analysis, I concluded that only accepting payments in the form of cash is making you lose some of your potential customers. The shop should accept several forms of payments to better accommodate the customers’ preference and increase revenue. Everything should be done electronic with hardcopies as back up documents. The menu should be revamped as well. The shops’ is spacious all around, however the back rooms are clutter especially in the storage area. If you could clear the clutter, you would have more room for storing supplies. You could buy materials at a larger capacity which would save you some money, since buying in bulk is more cost effective. According to the income statement in your file cabinet, your supplies for the previous year cost you $135,827. As far as management, you have ten employees and the majority of them seem satisfied with their employment there but you can sense the morale is low. One of the hardest challenges employers face is boosting morale. We will need to think of creative ways to approach the employees and their overall opinions about their job. It would be in wise to seek new employees or assign current employees, who are strong in leadership to management positions. If you were to go this route it would be in your best interest to assign one to each shift. Also with reviewing your income…

The Broadway cafe is a family inherited coffee shop located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The cafe ' has been in business for 58 years. The business offers specialized coffees, teas, a full service bakery, homemade sandwiches, soups, and salads. It was once a hotspot but for the past five years business has been declining. Although my grandfather was very adroit at managing the business, Starbucks will be coming to the area. My grandfather never used computer and everything was manual including ordering and employee payroll. He had terrific memory and he knew his all customers. All recipes for homemade soups and baked goods were in his memory. The café didn’t have a marketing scheme in place to attract new costumers. To bring café into 21 century we needs new technology like providing wireless hotspot, customer database, build an e-business strategy, create an online community for collaboration, deploy a wireless network for customers and use customer relationship management to implement marketing campaigns and sales strategies.…
