Whether college athletes should get paid to play college sports is still to be determined. Some people say that college athletes should get paid because everybody else such as the coaches, the NCAA, and the college are all getting paid. Also some people say they shouldn’t get paid because the students didn’t go to college to get paid they went to get a degree. The pros of paying college athletes is college athletes would be able to provide for their family, and they would be able to pay for hospital cost just in case of a serious injury. don’t have to get their degree anymore because they are being paid to play sports for that college and paying college athletes just defeats the purpose of sportsmanship between colleges another con of paying college athletes is the payment method. How do you pay each player on the team? Do you pay the starters more money than the players on the bench? Or do you pay them the same amount?
Student athletes spill blood and sweat on the football field and basketball court for colleges.
