Reflective Account On Child Needs
Children needs
Needs are vital and necessary part of life. Some of the needs are physical needs, intellectual needs, emotional and social needs.
Physical needs
Children’s physical needs are hygiene, food, exercise, warmth, safety and security. Greenside Nursery ensures that all this takes place. For example, the nursey has CCTV and locks on doors to ensure the children are safe. This means that children will be monitored wherever they are.
Everybody needs would be exercise as it is essentials for somebody health and body. This will help children generate their body and develop themselves. This would also help them stay healthy. Some people are very lazy, as they do not like physical education; having PE in school supports them to get a bit

The nursery that I went to consists of different activities every day. The activities included of learning songs numbers, weeks, days, months, poems and much more
Another activity would be counting the amount of beads, toys etc. This would help children develop their counting skills, painting skills, drawing and crafting skills. The counting skill would help with their maths. As well as that, their painting and drawing skill would help with art.
Story time at least 20 minute a day would help children by developing their speaking and listening skills. At the nursey, I observed they had story time and story corner. This is where children can go and read whenever it is necessary and whenever they want to. The story corner was full of books of different genres, which are suitable for children.
Another intellectual need would be schoolwork. This would help you get good grades in life, which would also help you get far in life. This would lead onto education. An intellectual need for education would be learning something new everyday
Children need communication because this helps boost grades and improves their socializing. Greenside nursery encourages children to communicate with each other by putting them in groups and making them meet new

This is done daily so everything such as thoughts and feelings can be shared. Circle time is also somewhere they can feel safe and have nothing to worry about. They can share everything and have no worries. They sit in a circle and hold a teddy when it is their turn to speak. To make circle time enjoyable everyone has to communicate and even if they have nothing to share they will have to speak about what they enjoyed the most and what they least enjoyed.
One to one talk with the teacher can also help. Children can go to any staff at any time of the day. Children are safe to talk to teachers, as it is private and confidential. This means she/he will not be confronted in front of the other children and it will be dealt with secretly. This helps the child because they know they are safe and they know that they can share their feelings.
Naughty corner is place where children go when in trouble or when angry, sad, naughty. They spend 10 minutes over here, which is the maximum time. However, this could take longer due to some situations. The child is supressed from meeting other children until they are calm. This helps them get over everything without anyone making them more

Role-play: Having a role-play area in your setting can be fun for the children and help them communicate with other children. For example, in the role-play area in our setting it was a café, one child pretended to be the assistant while one child pretended to be the customer wanting to order some food. To advance physical and intellectual competence I provide various amounts of equipment and activities that help promote the physical development of children I do this by offering activities that will allow children to use their small muscles and large muscles. Children need these types of activities so they can become familiar about how to use their muscles and to develop body strength. Activities such as jumping, running, and balancing themselves will help them gain strength in lower parts of their bodies. These activities allow them to work with their gross motor skills. Activities such as painting, puzzles, writing, coloring allows them to use their fine motor skills. I try to encourage children to use their cognitive skills. I do this by having the children think about how to solve problems rather than simply asking question and receiving and answer. For example children asked “What happens if we bring a grasshopper into the classroom?” The children brought a grasshopper into classroom to see if it would hop around, make noise, move, or stay still. Then the children and I discussed why it moved or didn’t move. I keep activities interesting so that the children will want to learn and use their minds. In the classroom cognitive skills are used on a daily basis. I encourage children to be creative. To me children should have access to materials such as markers, crayons, paint, and pencils, and paper. By having these materials available will allow them to explore and be creative. I play music also sometimes play music in different languages. By playing the music it encourages them to dance and that is a way for children to use their gross motor…

Ever since I was about 3 or 3 ½ years old I had always loved learning and helping my family. Just two days after my 3rd birthday I got a baby brother. At first I wasn’t excited but as time went by I realized that I loved babies and smaller children. When I was 8 my baby sister was born, and one of the first nights that she was home I was giving her a bottle and we both fell asleep on the couch. Just two years ago my cousin was born, I loved holding and feeding her. One of my favorite things is helping my mom or nana babysit her. A few months after my cousin was born I went to my aunt’s house and “helped” watch her. I have realized that being around younger siblings and cousins has made me love to be around other kids that are younger than me. So after researching career choices and understanding the job overview and salary I realized that I can get the education and training needed and that I already have most…

They wouldn’t experience improved brain power, a way to manage stress, or to continue/start to make good healthy choices later in life. In school it’s good to get your brain refreshed, and that’s what PE offers. Students stimulate their brain and increase their brainpower for the next class. School is a stressful environment when one has so many things to worry about. The students with PE are lucky because they get a chance, during school, to relieve some stress and focus better in the day. All together the class ensures that if students continue to exercise, they’ll have less worries. You should make it your priority that PE stays as a requirement in high school. Get out there and spread the…

Accidents happen all the time in P.E. So end the end no one wants kids injured, or overworked or over exercised. Kids need to spend the time in school learning and not treating, or seeing who can run the faster. Kids don't need to be worrying if people are making fun of them if they are overweight. Also we don't want to star anxiety early. If we took out gym it would be better for…
