Ender who's real name is Andrew is part of the Wiggin family he has two siblings, Valentine and Peter. Ender has a good caring relationship with his sister valentine. He has been picked on at school by bullies like Stilson and his gang. However ender is able to handle his bullies just like he did Stilston. He was able to handle his bullies because he has some of the aggression that his brother peter has. Ender does not want to be like his brother, he does not want to be a bully to others. This shows me that he has the kindness of his sister valentine in him. Ender is a “third” which means that he is the third sibling in his family. He gets made fun of for that at school because most families do not have more than three kids. Ender does not …show more content…

Peter
Peter is an evil, ruthless character who does not like ender. Peter forces ender to do things against his will like play games with him. In a way peters torture helps ender to become a stronger person and this will help him when he is at battle school and he is facing homesickness. One of Enders big fears is having the aggression and meanness that his brother has. Even though Peter is nothing like his sister they are able to cooperate and work together when acting as locke and demontheses. Peter may actually love his brother because Ender over heard him saying I'm sorry ender in his sleep. Ender could have some compassion for ender deep inside him. Peter loves to have power and be able to control people.

“Ender did not see Peter as the beautiful ten-year-old boy that grown-ups saw, with dark, thick, tousled hair and a face that could have belonged to Alexander the Great. Ender looked at Peter only to detect anger or boredom, the dangerous moods that almost always led to pain. Now as Peter's eyes discovered the bandaid on his neck, the telltale flicker of anger appeared”

In the country that Ender lives in the government has restricted the amount of children each family can have. The government's limit is two children per family, but he is the third child of the family. In school right after he got his monitor taken away Ender thinks to himself, “It was not his fault he was a Third. It was the government's idea, they were the ones who authorized it - how else could a Third like Ender have got into school” (7)? This quote proves that even Ender realizes that he is abnormal because he is a Third child. He understands that the only reason he is alive is because the government allowed his parents to have another child. Although he does not know this, the reason why the government approved of him being born is because his older brother and sister showed promising qualities, but did not have the right balance of cruelness and empathy. Ender showed the same promising qualities as his siblings, but unlike them he also showed having the right balance between showing cruelness and empathy. Because of Ender’s characteristics, it made him the perfect candidate for them to shape into a commander that would win the war. Not only does Ender fit the Hero’s Cycle due to his abnormal birth, but he also fits the Hero Cycle because of the challenges that he faces that build his moral strength and…

For example, Ender had a plan that would make Bernard, one of this launchy classmates, look like an idiot and abate his power over all the launchies, “Bernard’s attempt to be ruler of the room was now broken-only a few stayed with him now… Bernard was contained, and all the boys who had some quality were free of him. Best of all, Ender had done it without sending him to the hospital” (Card 52). To put it another way, Ender had moderately fractured Bernard’s power with the rest of the launchy group without physically hurting him. Therefore Ender helped the rest of the boys who could be someone important and improve their futures since he cared about them and how Bernard treated them. Additionally, In the battle room, the older boys were teasing Ender and his friends for trying to master difficult skills, but got mad when Shen, one of Ender’s friend, did it to them. Due to that, the older boys broke into the battle room to try and hurt them, “‘Stay there!’ He shouted at his friends, who obviously were forming up to come and rescue him… Ender grasped the shoulders of the third boy’s shirt and pulled him up sharply, butting him in the face with his helmet” (Card 115). This reveals that Ender's friends wanted to go and help him, but Ender didn't want their help and handled the situation.
