Roomba
As a fifth grade teacher Mrs. Dehil would say “Curse you technology!” Like my fifth grade teacher some people do not like technology and think that it will be the reason why humanity will become extinct. The people that think this have primitive incompetent minds. Technology is meant to make our lives easier maybe even better than what it was. We now have technology in our homes that can make our lives 100 times easier. Everyday our lives will get better than the las because of the advances technology has made. Today people are perfecting robots and devices that can make our lives better than what it was. There is the roomba, a robot that is like the romba but it cuts your grass its called the robomow, and a cat box that automatically changes the litter. These devices were created to make our lives easier however they can make our lives a living hell at the same time. Someone will also still have to fill it up with cat litter and dump the turds every so often. The Rube Goldberg Machine that my group and I made is called the “Yummi Nummies”. This invention of ours is significant because it helps solves the problem of having to feed pets. It can be used for many different animals in need of being fed. For example, Yummi Nummies can be very productive in zoos. This machine can shrink the chance of a zookeeper from getting hurt if he were to bring in the food to a wild animal’s cage. This machine is not simply only used for zoos, this machine can also help everyday people feed their pets they have at home. That was originally why we made this machine, to allow people to feed their animals with just one motion. No matter what animal it is or how much animals you have, this machine can benefit you. For example, humans are gradually moving towards social isolation, lack of responsibility, and loneliness. Robotic machines have many negative outcomes.
