Most of the time, people can be found to be at fault for car accidents. Whether it is drunk driving, taking chances, or simply just a mistake, you can find a person behind the wheel of a car accident. Having self-driving trucks would allow for some of these accidents to be cut down. Through advancing the truck industry to allow trucks to drive themselves it would open a new market for citizens who have disabilities. Since handicapped individuals may not be able to walk or possibly use their arms, they could get a truck that drives for them and not have to rely on others to transport them around. Although it seems there are many positive aspects to self-driving cars, many people still question whether the technology in the trucks would be able to process in high weather situations such as a hail storm, snow storm or heavy rain.
