1. An explanation of how to review personal leadership styles, assessing suitability for leadership.
Once promoted as a leader, after demonstrating some skills and attributed required to perform the role effectively, you need to draw upon your personal strengths and development areas and be aware of these. You need to review your current personality attributes as well as leadership competencies in order to decipher which leadership style is the most suitable.
Personal leadership styles can be review by a self-assessment method. The leader needs to draw upon their preferred style of leadership by being questioned of how they would act in certain situation or how they already act in the workplace towards their team and their work. A questionnaire/survey would be the most appropriate way to asses personal leadership styles and allow self-reflection of the leader as to how they currently lead and currently act in situations. They will then be able to draw upon the suitability of their resulting leadership style.
The questionnaire would pose such questions/statements that the leader can relate to form their day to day role (with a leaning towards each of the three classis leadership styles; autocratic, democratic and laissez fair) and the leader would say to what extent they believe this to be true

Because a fundamental aspect of leadership is getting results through others, follower motivation, satisfaction, and performance are vitally important topics for leaders. Research has shown that the best followers often perform at a level 20-50 percent higher than average followers, and much of this difference in performance is due to motivation. Leaders who have dissatisfied followers or cannot motivate followers will have difficulty building teams and getting results. Therefore, the more leaders know about motivation, satisfaction, and performance, the more likely they will be successful…

As mentioned by the musician, the essential task of leadership is “changing the way work works, so you can improve the work.” In other words, leaders lead their group or team by influencing them to clear their minds about something they are not sure about and persuade the group to move towards the right path by sharing collective knowledge. The good leaders have that vision to see the future to avoid the fear of unknown or unknowable. Gary Yukl defines leadership as “the process of influencing others to understand and agree about what needs to be done and how to do it, and the process of facilitating individual and collective efforts to accomplish shared objectives.” (Rowe & Guerrero, 2011) Moreover, the management tries to perfect the current processes or procedures to fulfill the overall objective of the organization. However, leadership is based on sharing the collective knowledge and influencing a group of people to look at different alternatives to solve a problem.…
