The author wasn’t completely incorrect with all his claims, he had some convincing points. It is quite difficult to get teenagers out of bed in the morning. Most teenagers stay up late as an attempt to keep up with their social life as well as their academic work. However the solution to this problem is not necessarily having schools start at a later time of day. First of which is a hasty generalization. This is found when the author says “We are all slumberers.” Not everyone values sleep as much as the author claims. According to a study by Jeffrey Larson, a family therapist at Birgham Young University, he found that in a group of 300 people, 44% of them identified as “Morning People”. Also many students get accustomed to a few hours of sleep and actually like being awake for as much as possible as to not miss anything that is happening. The second logical fallacy occurred when he attacked David Cameron’s speech at an award show, saying that it was “uninspiring”. He does this and gives no further explanation of why the speech could be labeled as uninspiring. One could only assume that this is an example of Ad
