The Pros Of Marching Band

When people think of band, they assume it’s full of nerdy kids who play boring music. When in fact marching band is the complete opposite. After participating in it for just two years, I can defend that marching band is phenomenal. Firstly, marching band allows for people to make a countless number of friends. For instance, when they start their freshman year, they are a fishy, upperclassmen help they out, and start to legitimately bond with them. Half way through the season they have already talked with all the band members, and made acquaintances and friends with the majority of them. Since band is gigantic, individuals will always have people there for them. For example, a bully can’t fight against one person because that means they are
battling against the entire band. In addition, marching band is spectacular, allowing students the ability to attend football games, both home and away. Every Friday night they get to watch the game for free, and cheer on the team with entertaining modern stand tunes. Also, during every half time show the band plays for the royalty, and performs their extravagant show. After the last note of the show is played, shouts and cheers from the audience fill the field, and confound the band. The band then realizes what their show has produced, and how it made people enjoy it. Furthermore, marching band is rewarding and exciting as a result of competing in competitions. Competitions are where people genuinely see how months and months of working on their show truly pays off, and where every sweat and tear are laid out on that field. Every band competing wants to make finals, which pushes each band to improve their performance, so their ensemble can advance. The feeling the band receives when their name is called for finals is so well worth, and the band unites together to celebrate the incredible victory. In conclusion, marching band is brilliant because people get to bond and make new friends, enjoy football games, and experience hard-working competition days.
