3 Reasons Why I decided to go to College

When I was little I was very unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. One day I would want to be an Architect, the next a nurse. Every other week I wanted to be something different. My parents and I never thought seriously about college until I got into high school. In my freshmen year I started getting very good grades, while keeping up with varsity swimming and a part time job. After my freshmen year of high school, I was sure that college was the way I should go. I knew I wanted to eventually expand my family but I wanted to have a steady job and a degree under my belt. In this day and age, it is very hard to make something of yourself without some type of degree or certification. Going to college would provide many more opportunities for a better future for my family and me.
I am very lucky to have the opportunity to expand my education. Many women in third-world countries have to fight for their right to an education. My family was financially stable and supportive enough to afford to help me pay for my college education. Since college is within my reach, I feel as if I should take full advantage of it. Many people do not have the option of going to college and have to go straight into the workforce to support their
