Victoria And Curtis's Case
REPORTER: The reporter (anonymous) called with concerns for the victims, Victoria and Curtis. The reporter said DHS placed the victims (Victoria and Curtis) in the mother's care on a trial basis (90 days), but now they are going to make it permanent. It was stated that Victoria said her mother comes home drunk. They have found her in the bushes and on the door step drunk, and they had to help her get into the home (3 different incidents were witnessed). The reporter said the mother's youngest son's god mother tried to get her into rehab. It was stated that Victoria said if her mother knew she was disclosing any information, she would be upset with her. Victoria said her mother treats her differently. The reporter said Victoria is supposed to be taking 3 different medications. Victoria takes abilify and an anti-depressant, and the other medication was for bedwetting. On last month, a lady from MYPAC went to the school to speak with Victoria, and she disclosed that she had been raped. It was stated that the alleged perpetrator was named Keith. The reporter said a lady came out and told the mother to sign some paperwork, but the mother refused to. It was stated that the mother said no because the last time she signed something, they took her children away from her. It was stated that the mother didn't believe the child, and she did not have the child checked out. It was stated that the mother didn't want to do it and later find out that it was not true. The reporter said Jennifer asked Keith (via social media) about the allegations, and he said "he didn't know what she was talking about". The reporter said Curtis was taking medicine around 09/30/2016, but DHS wasn't following up with the child's medical situation. Around August or September, the mother took the child to Life Help, and they told the mother that Curtis didn't need the medicine, and it was a parenting issue. It was stated that the child's (Curtis) behavior has been different since he's been off of his medicine. It was stated that when he was taking his medicine (in 2013 and 2014), his grades had improved (it was recommended by his teacher at the time). The child's medication came from the Mr. Discount Drug Store (on the corner of Ellis and Capital Street). It was stated that the mother goes to Life Help as well, and she doesn't take her medicine (she acts nervous). The reporter said it appears that Victoria has a better understanding of things, than her mother does. According to the reporter, it was reported Curtis fell into some glass, and the child's right arm (by the elbow) was cut up. The child received 32 stitches. The reporter found out that he was fighting with someone at an apartment complex (on a school night) after 10:00pm. It was stated that the mother was a club (called: The tree or In the Alley).
