While growing up in the inner city, it seemed like every day was a fight for survival. It is difficult for me to recall any happy memories; however if I have learned one thing while being on the streets of Paterson, New Jersey, it is that friendship is essential to the soul. It is sad to see my brothers and sisters being killed in the streets over ignorance and smart minded people wasting their talent and succumbed to the drug infested streets. Being alone, it hard to change mindsets of others; however being in a group with such strong role models and caring for life are an unbelievable sight. I want to be part of Omega Psi Phi because I want to be a role model to children who no matter what their living conditions consist of, they are able…

There are many reasons why I want to become an Auror leader, my number one reason is because I frankly feel that my experience in Ursa changed me as a person and I want to continue the personal growth that Aurora has started while helping new students experience the same growth that I did. I have always been dedicated to helping those who are younger than myself. In high school I was on the track team and one of my favorite things to do was to mentor the first year athletes. By doing this I would show my younger teammates correct technique, and how to prepare for meets physically as well as mentally. Now that I am in college I love to help kids from my highschool who are interested in Penn State. I show them around campus, and I gave them…

The MHS Honor Society would benefit from my membership because I am involved in many activities, take challenging courses in school, and have been volunteering all of my life. I am involved in sports including cross country, track and field, and multiple intramurals. In cross country, there are no elected captains, but rather we are expected to step up and become leaders. I have stepped up and become a leader over the past couple of years. I have planned summer running, ran with my team to make them better, and also encouraged them all to do their best. I won the MVP and Jesse Citrowski Heart of the Tiger Award. I am also involved in other activities such as, knowledge bowl, which I was voted co-captain, Link Crew, Marshall ACTS, Tiger Activities…

    3. I want to be a member of ASB so badly, I believe it would be such a great opportunity to change or impact things that I, personally, as a student am not impressed with and have confidence that I could possibly better. A leadership group like this is fantastic; it is like having a voice for your student body. You are what your classmates rely on, if they have a question they ask you, if they have a comment or an opinion they tell you. Of course there is the worry of their judgments and unneeded thoughts, but as…

I am a very dedicated person, especially if it comes to something that I like, like math. I’m good with math, once I’ve learned and master the objective I’ll be able to solve it and maybe even find a short cut for the problem that I’m solving. I think that the ALE is a very wonderful association and I'd be proud to work with it and be apart of it. I know that the ALE can expand a student's networks and it can help a student learn more about the field of leadership education, both very important things in life. I am also interested in being apart of the PLA because I know I can do it with a bit of work. The four core values of the PLA are integrity, service, credibility, and learning. I already exhibit those in my everyday life. I exhibit integrity when I keep all promises I have made or when I turn back the extra change a cashier might have gave me. I exhibit service in my everyday life, whether I am helping at my dance studio or helping with a service project for National Honor Society at school. I also consider myself to be a credible person. I have established my credibility by being confident and consistent, by being real and honest, and by being open, empathetic, and accountable. Lastly I also consider myself to constantly be learning. I love to learn more about the world around me. I have traveled to Spain and I plan to travel to England, France and Italy in the summer of…
