Animal Testing labs are one of the blind spots of Animal Abuse, with no laws protecting …show more content…
There are now options that are even more effective and efficient compared to Animal Testing. Mainly because Animal Testings rely on animals that are as mentioned previously, very different from humans. A few of the beneficial technologies are Silico Modeling and Chemosynthetic Livers. Silico Modeling is a computer simulation developed through decades of technology breakthroughs which has now reached the level of emulating biological reactions. They can be used instead of animals for drug developments, chemical testings and disease researches. Quoting cellular molecular biologist Amy Clippinger, from PETA “Computer models...have saved millions of animals from suffering in toxicity testing experiments”. Second example of new advancements in technology that should reduce the amount of Animal Testings is the Chemosynthetic Liver. Chief scientific officer of the Clinical Intelligence company Empiriko Mukund Chorghade created this chemical compound that creates accurate results with less confusion and economic waste. This piece of technology helps generates metabolic products that were only a gist in the past using Animal Testing are now explored with a new clarity. Mr. Chorghade says, “We can give you very accurate structural data, nothing is left to guess work.” There is already a successful sample trial made where this program identified a metabolite that …show more content…
Instead facilities made for testing purposes should use other options including Silico Modelings, Chemosynthetic Livers and Organs on Chips. There are endless possibilities of new advances in Science by walking out of our comfort zones or the methods we are used to and go for new innovations that are happening around
