I have chosen to study history, business, sociology environmental science/ religious studies as an AS. I have chosen these courses because of the great deal of interest I have in them especially history and business, also because I have always been curious about how the business world works as it is such a significant thing in our lives.I find it incredibly fascinating to learn about what life was like then to what it is now, I enjoy seeing the progression or unfortunately at times regression. I have completed an online diploma course in my own time on The Rise of Fascism for enjoyment and to deepen my understanding of this significant area of history. All of these positions have meant that I have had to take responsibility and be part of my school community. I have competed in house gym, house netball and house rounders every year since year 7. I performed in the gymnastics gala held at the Guild Hall. I have a range of sport based interests that I pursue both outside and inside of school. On the weekends I swim/dive, I play netball and basketball ( I also attend basketball club in school) as recreation. Every Sunday I volunteer for a 2- 4 hour shift at Tenovus which is a cancer charity, I have been at this placement for roughly three months and intend to stay for an extensive amount of time. My work experience - I completed a week at Fitrah (a private primary school) and a week at Jungle Jeans. Both these placements including my volunteer work have equipped me with many skills such as meeting peoples needs efficiently and become confident in voicing my opinion/ideas when in group situations, this skill was also learned through my attendance at debate club. After completing my A- levels I intend study at the university of Southampton. I hope to study BSc Business History with a placement year (4 years). Both business and history are two well matched subjects however as they are facilitating subjects will still keep my options open for when I leave
