Online Application fr TUP-T Clubs and Organiztions
Chapter 1
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig Campus clubs and organizations are using paper-based and manual application procedures for the students who want to be part of their team or family. When an application process is not automated, it costs more time, effort, and money – resources that cannot be squandered. Students applying to join an organization online don't need to worry about filling in error-free hard-copy. There's also the benefit of knowing if an application has been safely received by the club or organization by receipt of confirmation at the end of the application. Even when sending a copy of requirements, the student can't be sure that it's reached the intended recipient without a return message. In order to reach the goal, it is essential to take the first step; thus, this proposal details the shift from a paper-based application process to an automated process and it outlines the various implementation steps of the proposed study that is anchored to the idea that automating the application process is pivotal to the efforts of improving the performance of different clubs and organizations of the University.
Using a paper-based system has many constraints and limitations compared to an automated system as it is associated with waste of time, and it requires more personnel. Also, the service quality done in a manual process is much lower than that provided through an automated system. Having the TUP-T Clubs and Organization Online Application and Management System with automated system can facilitate and ease the efforts of the students, clubs and organizations, who can use online resources and system. Today, Information Technology (IT) has changed the world massively. People nowadays communicate through emails, instant messengers, Voice-Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
