The race starts at 9:00am on March 25, 2017 right outside of Vago Field. Get your whole program involved by registering on www.signmeup.com/118053. Early registration is $25 for non-students and $12 for students. Make this race a competition involving your entire athletic training education program! The athletic training honor society, Iota Tau Alpha, has been busy this month. The students from the honors organization were able to test each other’s VO2max in Aurora University's newly refurbished exercise science laboratory. VO2max is the measurement of the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during intense exercise, and is one factor that may help determine an athlete's capacity to perform sustained exercise. This was a great experience for all the students involved since it allowed everyone to become more familiar with specialized training equipment. Additionally, ITA is hosting a Manual Therapy Lab conducted by Dave Maaske P.T., M.S., ATC. Dave received a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1991 and has practiced in the outpatient orthopedic setting since graduation. Dave is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer who will be conducting a two hour lab on soft tissue
