I like to think of it as a blessing of mine because being able to brighten up someone's day with a radiant smile, is definitely something to be proud of. Ever since I could remember, I have always been amused by the fine arts and the performing arts. I can not see myself pursuing in anything, except for the arts. I have been enrolled in various art classes throughout middle school and high school. During my freshman year of high school, I fell in love with theatre. It has helped me develop more confidence and establish a more outgoing personality. Because of theatre, I fell in love with script writing and directing. For me, watching a script of mine come to life on stage in a skit or play, is an invigorating feeling. I also find volunteering with my church, family, and friends amusing as well. Projects such as guiding the blind, participating in "Project Linus" where we made blankets for children's hospitals, and wrapping Christmas gifts at five below, are some of the community service projects that intrigued me the …show more content…
I now believe that locking in all the negative energy will hold me back and make me feel worse. At one point in my life, I thought that being emotional and intact with my emotions made me a weak person; when the reality of this is that it makes me stronger, not just for myself, but for other people as well. I am often praised for showing compassion for compassion for customers at work. Whether it's carrying food for someone or comforting a lost child, doing little things to show someone that you care can go a long

My biggest community activity is for Special Olympics of New Jersey. My family and I attend many of the events for SONJ including the Summer Games. I started volunteering by working and playing with the athletes. The area we staffed was where the athletes came to take a break and play with carnival-like games. The ages ranged from little kids to adults. It was fun putting smiles on their faces when you told them they won! It showed me we aren’t any different than them. They still like to do sports and have fun. They love to win prizes as do we. They just have disabilities that make them special. Over all volunteering for SONJ is a fantastic experience and in my opinion every boy and…

Service is one of the things I love to do because I love helping people and volunteering. I volunteer every Sunday for four hours at the Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Parish where I help kids to learn more about God and at the same time gain spiritual guidance. I help plan and coordinate activities and events for the kids to make their learning as fun as possible as well as making them more enthusiastic to go to Sunday school. I enjoy volunteering because it helps me become more diverse than what I already am and to meet new people.…

I volunteer in my community whenever I get the opportunity. For example, I helped students get to school safely and I helped out around the school. I volunteered at the public library to help younger children. I now see it is hard work to get children focused and help them not make a big mess, but I enjoyed helping them in any way I can. Volunteering at the public library also taught me about patience. Not everything went exactly how I planned it out, but at the end it still worked out. My time at the library also taught me about effort.…

Volunteering has been one of the biggest joys in my life. I have enjoyed working on the Emerald Coast Mud Run, helping to collect food for Caring and Sharing, helping my mother work on the band uniforms for Niceville High School and C.W. Ruckel Middle School. I look forward to helping others in my family, community, church and school. Whether helping a young mother watch her children so that she is able to go grocery shopping by herself or helping my sister work on her singing. When I was younger, I participated in Girl Scouts where we volunteered in food pantries, senior centers, hospitals, animal shelters and charities for the less fortunate. We also participated in service projects such as making cards for veterans, making blankets for hospitals and the homeless, and made care packages for veterans and the hurricane victims. Volunteering is important to me because I had an aunt that unfortunately died of cancer and I feel that no one should have to go through the pain and suffering that she did.…

Whether it be helping with school decorations, planting trees in the garden, or cleaning up garbage, doing service allows me to both aid my community and to know exactly how I am aiding it. It is for this reason that I enjoy community service. Often, I will sign up to help with small, individual community events. For example, a few weeks ago, I allocated six hours to help set up and operate various activities at the River Hill Community Health Fair. I am also a member of the American Red Cross, and frequently help blood donors at the Columbia Red Cross Blood Donor Center. Whether it be helping the community learn more about health, or helping facilitate blood donations to the needy, I know exactly how I help in community…

Outside of school I like to spend my time helping my community. As soon as I was old enough I started volunteering at my church's vacation bible school. We chose the beach across from Water Gut. It was a wonderful experience because I was able to help out my community in a positive way. What is your interpretation of freedom? Is it guaranteed or repeatedly fought for? Although we are guaranteed our rights in the U.S. Constitution, we still have to win them over many times. In this essay I will argue that our freedom has been repeatedly fought for. The Revolutionary War was fought to gain freedom from unreasonable taxes, we fought a Civil War to end slavery, and we are still protesting about the rights of women. We must repeatedly fight generation after generation for our freedoms and rights under the Constitution. I have listed below three reasons I believe this.…
