American writer Suzy Kassem says, “I would rather die fighting for what is right, than live passively amidst all that is wrong.” Paul Logan was bullied, then he switched schools and watched another kid get bullied. Eventually he took a stand for the voiceless. We should not be afraid to stand up for what is right, especially for those who do not have a voice.
It is good to stand firm in what you believe is right. If we do not stand firm in our faith we would be letting ourselves down and God. Paul Logan was a voice for a student in his school (Logan 637). He would think of George every time he saw someone bullied until he finally spoke up for someone (Logan 637). “For he said, “No longer silent, it told me that every child who is picked on and taunted deserves better, that no one- no matter how big, strong, attractive, or popular- has the right to abuse another person” (Logan 637). Paul was able to put his words into action by being a voice for a kid who was being bullied on the bus by an upperclassman (Logan 337). You have to stick up for those being bullied or else nothing will ever change and it will continue to happen. Also in Proverbs 31:8-9 it talks about speaking up for the voiceless. It says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute” (New International
