I have taken on many leadership roles in the past, serving as an officer of my high school’s FFA chapter as well as a high school class officer and student council officer. More recently, I have served as the secretary of St. John Paul II Catholic Ministries at SVSU, as well as the Vice President of Service for Alpha Phi Omega. As an executive board member for our Catholic ministry, I send out weekly newsletters highlighting all upcoming events. I also work with the officer team to coordinate with priests, plan social gatherings, and ensure that all members of the SVSU community are up to date on our events. As an officer for Alpha Phi Omega, I plan and coordinate all community service events for the campus, fraternity, community, and nation. I ensure that we have at least one service event planned each week, contacting and collaborating with numerous community organizations to do so. I plan large chapter events such as our annual Red Cross blood drive and our spring Youth Service Day project, as well as smaller projects such as bingo with the local nursing home. It brings me great joy to be able to share my love for service and my love for the Lord with my fellow students. I take great pride in knowing that my teams and I have such an impact on the campus community through our dedication to these organizations, and I look forward to continuing to serve my community in this way while developing leadership abilities for my future nursing
