The men's locker room is known as the shrine of men and center of fraternal bonding. According to Timothy Jon Curry, "fraternal bond is usually considered to be a force, link, or affectionate tie that unites men". Fraternal bonding is done through sports whenever they have the chance to talk about whatever is in their mind they would do it. It's the reason men use to get close to one another, and share their secrets or past experiences. Fraternal bonding is based on two elements. On element is the "nature of male culture" and the other is "how male athletes view women".…
One minute you have a lot of friends, and the very next minute you only have one or two. As you get older you end up losing a lot of friends but you gain the knowledge of who your true friends are. Those friends who have stuck by your side through the ups and the downs are your life long friends.…
A friend is essential in life, having a friend will make life happier and will help you through rough times. A friend is a friend no matter what, and they can be anybody. Since sixth grade I have been working hard, putting forth the extra effort, staying as healthy as I can, and practicing as much as I can, just to make the varsity lacrosse team. To my surprise, just two days after try-outs, I had made it. Making that varisty lacrosse team is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life so far.…

Friendship is a very powerful word. As children are growing up, their parents and family give them a taste of what friendship really is all about. Starting at a young age, it is smart for parents to teach children the significance of friendship. A friend should be someone who tells the other individual when they are doing wrong. They should influence them to do good, give them a shoulder to cry on, and be that person to talk to when sad. Friendships change over time as you move from childhood to adulthood, however, friendship exists in the positive relationships a person builds.…
I believe that a friend is an angel who lifts us of our feet when our wings have a trouble remembering how to fly. It means that our friends are people who will always beside us anytime we need them.…
The word friend means exactly what it is, just a word. The pure substance behind the word no longer bares any true meaning and feeling behind it. I have learned to limit the use of the word and can only call a select few a true friend. Growing up I thought I was popular because I had so many friends. However little did I know that instead of calling these people friends, I should have substituted the word for acquaintances, or in the future outlook of it all, maybe even enemies. A friend is supposed to be there for you through thick and thin. Friends stick by your side no matter what and have your best interest in hand. There for, these people I considered friends, were not my friends, but bad influences.…
What is the definition of a friend? A friend is a person that knows, likes, and trusts. There are many people that have friends that they can count on for anything. Others have fair-weather friends that are there when they need something. There are countless definitions of what a friend could be. For instance, someone who has a close personal relationship of mutual affection and trust with another is another definition of a friend. One knows the true meaning of friendship if they have ever had a friend. Friends often come and go but true friends always stay. Many people learn from their friends and often ask the advice of their buddy. Having a good friend can usually brightens a bad day and make one smile since that is what friends are for! Knowing how to be a good friend, losing a friend, and supporting a friend can give an idea of what a friend really is.…
The first realization I came to was that friends are more than people I may occasionally see in passing, or at social events. Although these people may be friendly and fun to be around, I consider them acquaintances, not friends. Unlike an acquaintance, a friend is someone with whom I genuinely enjoy being around and can call upon other than just when a favor is needed. Real friends know one another’s birthday, favorite color, pets’ names, parents’ names, etc. True friends will do whatever is necessary to ensure they are involved in each other’s lives.…
Friends; you can’t live with them nor can you live without them. They’re one of the best parts of growing up. These are the days where we meet some of our longest lasting friends. They help us grow as an individual and help us through our toughest times that we will encounter as we grow up.…
Friends are those people who surround us with care and love. When life is so dark and all doors are closed, friends are that hope you can stand by. However, friends do not always form that beautiful emotional relationships, some of them rather carry other hidden intentions which are covered by the name of friendship. I believe that friends fall under two main categories which are real friends and friends of special interests.…
Friendship: the state of being friends: the relationship between friends. Friends are essential throughout life. They can make or break your day. Growing up with that moral being pounded into my head constantly really got me to take that lesson to heart and apply it to my life today. I’ve helped my friends through breakups, school drama, and family struggles more times than I can count. Friendship means to have a certain connection with certain people in your life that you can trust and can be there for them through thick and thin, taking care of them when needed, being good company, and sharing experiences together because you have that certain bond that can only happen with select people.…
