Graduation Speech: A Speech For Senior's Speech
Hello and good evening family, friends, fellow students, teachers and faculty. I want to thank you all for gathering here today to help us take part in the graduation and celebration of the Class of 2018’s achievements and accomplishments. On behalf of this year’s seniors, I believe that we’ve learned a lot throughout our 13 years of education, which accounts to 2,340 days, or 17,550 hours. Although not all of us showed up every day, especially towards the ending where our senioritis really started to kick in. But, all in all, we’ve been here a long time and have gained a lot of knowledge throughout the years, and I’m going to share with you some of the many things that we have learned. Starting way back when in elementary school, …show more content…
For instance, we didn’t learn that our class was the world's worst drivers, but throughout this year, we figured it out. Besides, being a bad driver means that there’s only room for improvement, right? But on a serious note, we were very blessed with the protection of everyone that had been involved in a wreck. We also learned that these seniors could make the cutest babies anyone has ever seen, I mean have you seen they’re babies, they are adorable. Our football and softball teams have had an incredible season, and I think that a main contribution to that is the seniors that were a part of it. Congrats to all of you for making history and making your entire town unbelievably proud of you. Katie and ????? won best dancer at Ava High, but I think we all know who the real winners should of been: Mrs. Bassett and Mrs. Decker. They know how to get down. But, I believe that the most important thing that we’ve learned isn’t something that a textbook could teach us. No class could teach us the love that we all have for one another. No class could teach us to never take anyone or anything for granted. No class could teach us how precious each moment is. We have had to learn that on our own. We have learned to love and to live as if it was our last day, because we didn’t know and we don’t know when it could be someones. This group of seniors have experienced that first hand, and that taught us the most important lesson in our life: to live each day, to cherish each day, but most importantly, to love each

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

Before I start with my speech, allow me to ask a very simple question. Have you guys ever complaint about your school, your teachers, or being a student? I bet almost 99.9% of you guys said yes. We actually complain a lot, over the smallest things and lack appreciation. And though this ceremony recognizes our efforts, it also recognizes and pays homage to the dedication of our parents and our teachers. We would not have been able to accomplish this much without their help. So today, in honor of all the students, thank you. You know, I never expected to be standing up here but here I am, giving this speech and probably doing a terrible job at it because if you couldn’t tell, I’m pretty nervous. But thanks to NAMS, it pushed me out of my comfort zone and onto this stage in front of all you wonderful people. Succeeding from middle school is no easy task, looking back it surprises me that I even made it this far. A famous author, Theodore Roosevelt, once said, “A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a collage education he may steal the whole rail road.” Even though we have a while to get a collage education, we’ve made it here, to the end of 8th grade. Just like a rail road the train has to be set on a good track, just like our education. So far for this 8th grade class, our tracks have been fantastic ever since we first started our journey. Our first stop was 6th grade. New building, new people, and it were a whole new environment. New fears emerged and I remember feeling like a fish out of the sea. The year went by and our next stop was 7th grade, which the teachers have been preparing us for. We came back much more confident than the year before. We looked down at the 6th graders and asked ourselves, “Were we that short just last year?” And by the end of 7th grade, we were on our way to 8th grade. The year started off at a sprint and it seems to have left many of us still trying to catch our breath but 8th grade is also the…

These past years have been eventful, exciting, and strange. I have formed new friendships, and left some behind as I’ve grown. I have been challenged in certain aspects of academics, and in social situations, but all of these have built me up into the person I am today. Although our class has made our fair share of mistakes and bad decisions, they do not define us, and I know we will continue…

Wow! Never in a million years would I think I would be here on this stage right now. Getting my diploma...maybe but giving the valedictorian speech to the amazing co' 2k15.... I must've done something right in the last few days here at Salem because it's been rough. Coming into high school was a shock to us all. No harsh dress code...no lines...no silent lunch; We had less rules and restrictions so we were all revved up and ready to get BUCK WILD! (Or at least I was) Until of course the first day came and I got lost on the same staircase several times. That was quite interesting. But anyway…I believe I can speak for us all when I say our amateur fantasies quickly vanished and reality set in. high school was absolutely NOTHING I thought it would be. The classes were longer, the building was colder, the teachers were a lot less lenient, and Dr.Williams was soooo loud! I just knew I wouldn’t make it, but thank god I was wrong! I’ll never forget the enthralling perils, both good and bad, we all shared in Mr. Wisdom’s 4th period class. From the launching of paper balls and powerades to the reenactments of high school musical scenes….let’s just say that our learning environment never had one dull moment! Of course we paid for it big time in 10th grade am I right? Everyone had tons of catching up to do. We all fell behind at least once within our high school experience. But all that matters is that we never stopped trying. Lucky for us we had a select few of teachers who never stopped believing in us. So I would like to take this time to recognize them. To Ms. Brassard you taught me that knowing everything did not make me a good student but merely attempting to learn the material is. You also taught me that attitude is everything and a pretty face is absolutely nothing with an ugly personality. You gave me the best thing a student could ask for out of an educator, HOPE. I finally possess beauty on the inside and I thank you for that. To Ms.…
