Hellen Keller Perseverance
At the age of 7, I didn't know what was going on around the world. There have been many people who have died in a day, a few minutes, and even in seconds. Back when it was 2011 of September, My cousin and I were frightened by the news that was reported on the screen about terrorist attacking the buildings in New York. As we were watching, we saw that there were many people screaming and running out of the burning building. The whole situation was in chaos and was masked in smoke everywhere. The horrific sight of the building collapsing as fire trucks came one after the other, trying to calm the raging fire. We watched in respect as firefighters went inside the building to save others and to make sure everyone was evacuated from the building. …show more content…
Even if they encounter failure along their way, they are determined to overcome the hardships and pursue until they achieve their goals. They do not simply just give up just because of a few setbacks. They are always focused, so they can withstand all the weight of troubles and obstacles on their pathless road. In my opinion I said pathless road because heroes who has perseverance are heroes who have an open a road of their own in which they may travel tracing their own hero’s footsteps such has, Hellen Keller, who was born in the late nineteenth century deaf and blind, is a well example of such feats. She didn’t give up even with her unfortunate circumstances set in her way. She was able to overcome her obstacles and made no excuses to stop. Within our society today, Hellen Keller inspires others who face troubling times, whether they have disabilities or not, showing others that anything is possible as long as we try. She embodies life’s tragedies and how to overcome them by not giving in to the thought of quitting. Hellen Keller inspires others to offer everyone equally opportunities no matter what the circumstances are because anyone can learn. Her passion, and achievements are what sets her in place with other empowering heroes with her perseverance she shows how those people who are physically and mentally disadvantage able to achieve anything they can think of no matter what obstacles are in their

Almost everyone who is asked, who had witnessed the attack, can remember where they were or what they were doing that day when they heard the terrible news. At 8:45 in the morning, a hijacked jet crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center. People all over thought it was an accident until the observers saw a second plane crash in to the north tower of the World Trade Center. It is horrifying to watch those clips over and over on the television and on the Internet. By 10:30 that day, both towers had crashed onto the streets below. About half an hour later, another hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon. Then, ten minutes later, another plane crashed in Pennsylvania, because the passengers on that plane had tried to stop the hijackers, and had made the plane crash. Perseverance - steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. In the book “Unwind”, the author develops many ideas surrounding perseverance. All of the characters in this novel can be related back to life as we know it. The examples displayed, although dramatized in certain instances, can represent the battles people of today find themselves fighting. I was at my desk on the 10th floor of the World Trade Center when the terrorist attack via plane occurred. The power went out and mass confusion ensued as my coworkers and I grabbed some medical kits and made our way to the stairwell to head out of the building. As we exited on the street there was concrete falling from the sky and people were scattering in chaos with all types of injuries. We established a triage station with our medical kits at a nearby high school and rendered first aid to those in need. Then, another plane crashed into the second tower causing us to evacuate to safer location.…
