During my senior year of high school I decided to join the school's newspaper staff. I had no prior experience, but I was quick to volunteer and cover big local events. After a year of writing all genres (sports, opinions, news, features), I received my biggest accomplishment: first place in Sports Writing, in the West Virginia Journalism Competition. Without dedication and determination, I would have never been able to win that award. My Grandma is in charge of the St. Vincent Support Group for Special Needs. For many years I would help to set up events that were being held or sometimes I would even help during the events. Before switching to my current parish (St. Vincent), I had multiple roles at my previous parish I belonged to (St. Rose). I was a Eucharistic Minister for a couple years, an usher for seven years, an altar server for nine years, and an Altar Server Instructor for a handful of years as well. I also helped organize the holiday ceremonies. Every Saturday or Sunday for nine years I was holding some position at mass at St. Rose. Upon arriving to St. Vincent, I became an Eucharistic Minister shortly after joining the parish. To this day, I still hold that position there (when home from school). During school, I Eucharistic Minister at the campus mass.
My most recent accomplishments are mostly earned through ROTC. I was awarded a ribbon for achieving a GPA between a 2.90 and 3.20. I also was promoted to a team leader after one semester with the program. I also was appointed a leader during the LRC exercises at 2016 Spring FTX.
