I’d like to make it very clear that I do not support this movement in the slightest. I work with people who are dedicated to enacting positive change through education, building community, and the empowerment of the youth. Not this other crap. Now here’s where it gets a bit confusing. There are certain instances in which I think an aggressive/violent reaction is justified, but I’m not going to go into that right now. You guys are smart enough to know what I mean by that. Beating someone with a flagpole because they want to listen to some guy speak however is not my idea of progress. I think Milo is trash and I think the things that he and his supporters preach are trash, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna try and injure them because of that. What will that achieve? There is a time to protest and there is a time to stand with the people who face daily oppression and whose lives are in danger because of the institutions of white supremacy, patriarchy etc etc, but to me this other crap just seems like a waste of time and nothing good will come out of it.
If y’all disagree with me on certain parts or if you have any other perspective you’d like to share about Berkley or anything for that matter than go ahead. Let have a REAL CONVERSATION and try and learn from one
another.
