Informative Speech On Gun Violence

I’m Dr. Ariana Fisher, a pediatrician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. As a caregiver to children in the state of Ohio, I am writing you today to speak to you about a very important topic: gun violence. As a constituent and young pediatrician, I have already seen the monumental toll gun violence takes upon children. As a teenager, I lost my friend, Amanda, in a domestic homicide-suicide. As a medical student, I witnessed the autopsy of a young man who was shot four times by a 16-year-old. He left behind an infant daughter. And as a pediatrician in Cincinnati, I work in the neighborhood of Avondale, where parents have told me they avoid taking their children to the nearby park because of the multiple shootings there.
