Fish that have been considered “trash” are returning to our plates. Trash fish, the slang name for rough fish, are fish that aren't popular food sources and cant fetch high prices on the market, so they're disliked by the consumers. Bass, carp, and suckers are just some of the many types of fish considered trash fish and not seen at the stores and markets as much as fish like salmon. However, due to certain causes, these “trash” fish are returning to the market.
