Why Is Animal Testing Unethical
While applying your makeup or washing your hair, have you ever thought about who has suffered so you can use these products? 100 million animals are put through unnecessary suffering, and they are dying because scientists are testing chemicals and products on them. So why is animal testing unethical, well, without animals, life wouldn’t be possible. We would all go extinct because animals help our ecosystem. Oxygen, clean water, and soils wouldn’t be possible without animals. Scientists often don’t even benefit from testing on animals. The test results often don’t come out how they expected them to come out, therefore, many animals die wastefully due to failed test results. We can‘t take animals for granted and waste them any longer.

There are many types of animal testing that are done. Some of the most common types are eye irritancy, acute toxicity, and skin sensation. Eye irritancy is mostly done on rabbits. What the companies do is put drops of washing liquids, cosmetics and some other substances in the rabbit's eyes. This causes redness, swelling of the eye, blurriness and usually blindness. Acute

When the scientists test on animals, it takes them quite long to finish up the testing, then when it fails, a lot of time gets wasted. This is not only time-consuming but money consuming too. The tools they used to test on animals are very expensive, they cost thousands. As I said before, when the testing fails, the money goes to waste. A lot of time, money and energy is wasted from testing on animals, therefore, it is unethical. But if it always fails and the results don’t come out as planned, why do they still do it? They do it because they feel that it is very useful, but there are very good companies out there such as Burt Bees, Lush, Bath and Body Works, Sephora and many more that do not test on animals. Testing on animals doesn’t make their company any

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

It is not morally acceptable for scientists to use live animals in research for medicine that can be used to cure humans. Today we continue to use animals in experiments to learn more about health problems that affect both humans and animals and to ensure the safety of new medical treatments. Now that we know the purpose of animal testing, is it really worth killing millions of innocent animals? This practice is morally wrong and inconsiderate of us for letting this happen. People should stop using animals as experiment subjects and utilize the advance technology that we have now. This is happening because we are letting it happen! We have to start by educating others on this issue because the lack of knowledge on animal testing is why people…

The products we use everyday are a luxury that we are blessed to have and be able to use everyday. They are so easy to use and the benefits are so great that people don’t really care how they are made before they hit the shelves. But not many people think about all the tests that the product had to go through to get on the store's shelves. Not many people think about the negatives of the product and all the test that are done on ANIMALS. The methods of testing include the draize, acute toxicity, skin irritation, skin sensitization, and dermal penetration. The draize test is a method that can cause irritation to the skin and/or eyes. The acute toxicity test is done to determine danger of exposure to a chemical by mouth, skin, or inflammation. The draize test can also cause animal convulsions, loss of motor function, and seizures. The dermal penetration test is the injection of chemicals into the bloodstream to understand skin absorption. Over the years many places around the world have prohibited testing cosmetics on animals.…

Many people today can say they love their pet, whether it is a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or fish. Little do we actually think about the animals suffering to the torture of cruel animal testing that goes on behind the scenes of the company’s we love. Maybelline, Head and Shoulders, and Clorox are all companies that test on animals, yet are still supported by the thousands of people that buy and use their products. I believe the main reason people continue to support companies that perform animal testing is because society today is not informed or educated about the severity of animal testing. People do not know or care to research if a company performs animal testing. Besides consumers keeping these companies alive and running, animal testing is not humane or morally right. It has been scientifically proven that animals can to a certain extent feel pain (Tell Me if it Hurts: Investigating Whether Animals Feel Pain by Caroline…
