There are alternatives to animal testing. One way is artificial human skin. It produces better results and is safer. It is made from human cells and is grown in test tubes or plastic wells. It gives better results than animal skin. The skin still shows the reaction to the substance and it isn’t harming anyone or anything. It is a better and safer way to test substances.
When testing on animals, how scientist treat them is inhumane. Animal testing is bad by itself, but how scientists do it makes it worse. For example, one thing they need to test (for cosmetics) is how it will affect the eye, it’s called the Draize eye test. What …show more content…
they do, is they will strap the rabbit down, then hold their eyes open with clips, and administer the cosmetic. The rabbits can be kept there for days at a time, with their eyes open the whole time so that they can’t blink away what has been administered. That is cruel and inhumane and shouldn’t be aloud to be continued.
Animals can suffer like humans can.
Experimenting on them only because they can’t verbally say no is wrong. Animal testing is just like human testing. Animals are like humans in a lot of ways. They love, feel sad, mad, and they can hurt just like we can. We should not allow testing on anything that lives and breathes. It isn’t fair to inflict pain upon other creatures for our own selfish needs. Animals have rights, and it’s about time that we look into them.
Animal testing is cruel. In conclusion, it needs to be stopped. As previously stated, we are hurting animals when there are other ways to go about it. Animals are living, breathing creatures that have rights and should be protected. They don’t deserve to be hurt anymore than we do. For example, they can feel pain, and sadness just like we can, so in what way does it make it right to harm them for our own benefit. That makes us selfish and rude. Animal testing is cruel, and mean, and needs to come to an
end.
