Argument Against Animal Experimentation
Animal experimentation saves lives and makes vaccines for diseases. But, millions of animals die for experimentation and it doesn’t work every time, even people die because of false information. Animals are important in their habitats and kingdoms. If people take them, then they can't do their jobs. Animal experimentation is not needed for us because of how many animals die for it and how many false procedures there are that also kill people. Animal bodies are different than human bodies, meaning animals have different diseases than humans. Animal bodies are different than human bodies so animals get different diseases than humans and react to things differently than we do. How do we know that we are getting the right treatment if animal bodies are different than ours? If animals get different diseases than we do, then how do we know if the treatment is working. What if it makes it worse? Certain drugs that humans use, like aspirin, have killed animals because scientist wanted to see if it affected …show more content…
People in the world don’t know how many animals and people die for nothing, not only that, but how much money we waste on experiments. Most people don’t know that “Each year, more than 100 million animals—including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds—are killed in U.S.”. Knowing what animals we do use for experimentation would make you second guess that you would want. In 2006, six people were injected with TGN1412 and within minutes were on the floor in pain. These six people were rushed to the hospital,. Most of the six received permanent organ damage,. Yet before they injected the six people, they experimented on animals who weren’t affected in anyway. Animal experimentation hurts humans because scientists think that animal testing is ok. More than 12-14.5 billion dollars in taxpayer money is wasted on animal experimentation per

Therefore most of these animal tests are inaccurate. Diseases that may develop in humans are genetically engineered differently than any other animal. This relates back to the unethical side, as millions of animals are being tortuously killed just to be disposed of. Animal tests have no way of predicting the outcomes or results on a human, medical treatment is very specific to the individual being treated. Prescribed medicines are unique and are tweaked to work for that human specifically, testing on a whole new species does not effectively correspond to the human body.…

Do you ever think about if you are against or in favor of animal research? Animal experimentation is disputed because some people are favor and some are against. Animal research is used to discover those diseases that are without cure and to give the answers to the scientific community. Additionally, the animal experiments begin in ancient Rome and Greece. In the United States all pharmaceutical companies need first to experiment with the animals before humans. Nevertheless, without animal experimentation many of the most important advances in modern medicine would never have occurred. These experiments are important because scientists need to make sure that medicines are as safe and as good as possible before doctors give them to people and to discover more about how the medication works on human bodies.…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

Some may say that animals are the next best thing to a “whole-body” system, but animals have no say in what happens to them, thus making them the best thing to a whole-body system. Humans have a whole-body system as well, but no tests are done on them, because they have a say so. However, what people in the society do not know, is that animals are not the same as humans which then leads to inaccurate test data and false information. “94 percent of drugs that pass animal tests fail in human clinical trials.” (Animal Testing) This quote clearly states that testing on animals is innacurate, giving humans false information and proving that it is completely pointless and inhumane. There are many different ways to perform tests without using animals. Scientists are using bacteria and petri dishes and comparing and contrasting and finding out more information than they ever have by harming the…

This is all due to the simple fact that “animals of different ages, sexes, developmental stages and of different health status can all respond differently to experimental treatments.” (“Animal Testing”). Even with all of the perils, scientists persist on risking the health of patients by relying on animal experiments to foretoken the outcome of drugs in Homo sapiens. A major drug mishap happened in March 13, 2006. The drug was called TGN1412 it was created to treat B cell chronic lymphocyte leukemia and rheumatoid arthritis. Eight volunteers were given small doses in the Northwick Park Hospital in London. They became seriously ill and had to be placed in intensive care. Four suffered multiple organ dysfunction and one person showed signs of cancer, the last three either died or fell into a coma. (Saunders). Another example is the first attempt at heart lung transplants that were supposedly ‘perfected’ on animals. The first three humans died within 23 days. Of the 28 operated on from 1981 to 1085, 8 died peri-operatively and 10 developed a lung complication that didn’t show up in the dogs who were experimented on. Of those ten, four died and three never breathed again without the aid of a respirator. (50 Disasters). Finally, Vioxx from Merck, this drug alone killed more Americans than all the ones who died bravely in the Vietnam War, yet it was deemed safe in eight studies using six animals species (Erbe). These are not the only drugs that have cause human fatalities; many other drugs have had severe and even lethal effects in people after demonstrating safety in animal…

‘’a drug to fight Ebola had showed remarkable success when tested in rhesus monkeys.” (Trull,2015) “More recently, animal research has helped pave the way toward restoring vision.” (Trull,2015.) “ Thanks to the work of scientists and physicians at Duke University, an experimental new treatment for glioblastoma multiforme, or GBM--an aggressive tumor that kills about 12,000 people in the U.S. each year--is saving the lives of patients who, just months ago, had little hope of survival. This extraordinary development wouldn't have been possible without animal research.” (Trull, 2015) However, about 90% of approved animal tested products don’t make it out of the lab, for they don’t work on humans. A lot of testing on animals is unsuccessful, and most of the time when it is, it doesn’t work on humans. This evidence shows that animals are different than humans and testing on them won’t help…

Imagine being confined to a cold cage, no bigger than you, without family, or friends, watching, as one by one, your compatriots leaving, but never come back, waiting silently for your turn. Good morning audience of the Federal Youth Parliament, this is what many animals endure before their final moments, tortured, hurt, and isolated. Animal experimenting is a national system of sadistic torture, vivisection, and genocide, which has been carried out for generations under the disguise of “medical research” and definitely must be stopped. The three main reasons for banning this grotesque science are: present experimentation is currently not species specific therefore results are inaccurate, killing for beauty is not worth it, and animals are more useful alive.…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

Each year, more than 100 million animals are killed in lab for product testing. Now a days, scientists are using animals for their research and testings, and I disagree with the use of animals. It is unfair to animals because in the end it kills them, it may not actually work on humans, and the cost of it.…

I think that people should stop testing products on animals. If they want to test new products they should test it on humans. Testing these products on animals can kill them. They need to find something else to test products on other than animals. Other people think that's its fine to test products on animals. People shouldn't test these products on animals. I disagree with Animal Experimentation. Millions of these animals suffer and die from this. Testing these products on animals can blind them. Testing these products on animals can affect the population of certain breeds. Why do they test products on animals? They test these products on animals so they don't have to test it on humans, but i think that it would be better if they tested it on humans who volunteered to test these products instead of some innocent animal.…

Millions of animals are used in biomedical experiments every year. Testing is used by scientist worldwide to find causes and treatments for thousands of medical conditions(2facts.com). Without animal testing causes and treatments to thousands of medical conditions would not be known. We would still live with polio if it wasn't for animal testing. Animal testing helped find the cures for polio, small pox, rabies, etc(2facts.com). If it wasn't for the monkey that was first injected with the polio disease the may never have been discovered. The injection was proven safe so it was used to save millions of lives.…

Every day, animals such as rabbits, chimpanzees, and mice take part of medical experimentation. “Chimpanzees share 99% of their DNA with humans, and mice are 98% genetically similar to humans. The United States and Gabon are the only two countries that allow experimentation on chimpanzees.” (The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada). What people don’t understand is that these animals contribute to medical discoveries regarding human health. Animals should be used for medical experimentation because they contribute to many life-saving cures and treatments, they are similar to human beings in many ways, animals are the only organisms other than humans who we can experiment on, and the animals themselves benefit…

For my research argument essay, I researched animal testing for scientific research. This topic has definitely created controversy with animal rights activists and scientists over the last few decades. At first, my plan was to research specifically cosmetic testing on animals, but after looking at general animal research, I decided to look into using animals for scientific research. My purpose was to convince scientists that supported animal testing, and were unaware of other methods, that there were better ways to do scientific research.…

Everyone knows the difference between right and wrong , and some of the wrong brings good outcomes .Debating between getting new products that are beneficial for our health ,and fighting against the use of animals to get the products that everyone at the end will use. Animal experimentation is wrong because it has a lot of facts animals have rights no matter what kind of animal is ,in laboratories they’re treated badly and used more than once by different products. Scientist and studies have proved that animals live in constant distress and pain and that more than 1,000 thousand of animals died for each…
