CPOA Leadership Experience Examples
CPOA Leadership Experience Maintaining a diverse career back round assist service members in making sound leadership decisions. Each year, a select few Air Force Master Sergeants get the opportunity to test their leadership capabilities by attending the Chief Petty Officer Academy. The 3 classes that I will take back to my unit are Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), Strategic Thinking, and Wellness. Understanding the critical aspects of these 3 classes has equipped me with the tools and knowledge to lead my Airmen. First, the LPI was a real eye-opener in terms of obtaining honest feedback from all levels of leadership. It gave me an honest assessment on the 5 categories Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable others to Act, and Encourage the Heart. Prior to arriving, I thought I had a pretty good working knowledge of my current leadership abilities. During my 17-year military career, …show more content…
My role during this presentation was the conclusion. I specifically chose this role due to the fact that I had limited information about Combatting Terrorism in the Coast Guard. It was my opportunity to gain valuable experience for the critical roles that each rate plays. The amount of research and back round knowledge of the material has assisted my overall impression of the Coast Guard. Prior the class, I had limited knowledge on the capabilities of the Coast Guard. The presentation widened my apertures to the unique capabilities that our sister service provides. The teamwork that the Coast Guard displays during its operations is one of the main reasons it has been so successful over the years. I was surprised how such a small service can support air, land, and sea operations with the amount of personnel they currently have. They do this by remaining flexible and with the understanding that each rate contributes to the overall mission

During the course of my high school career, I have developed a strong passion for the organization named the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). FCCLA is a Career and Technical Student Organization that focuses on building students into better leaders for their families, careers, and communities. Furthermore, FCCLA teaches students practical skills that will be useful throughout their lifetimes. This organization has become an important part of my life because it has shaped me into the leader I am today. I began in the organization as a member and participant in competitive events, I have now worked my way up to being my chapter’s President and the Missouri State First Vice President. My leadership experience in FCCLA, especially my experience as a member of the Missouri State…

During high school, I committed most of my free time to my NJROTC unit and my 4-H club. In both of these organizations, community service, leadership, citizenship, and initiative are indispensable values that are essential to their functioning, and I like to think I have learned to embody these traits. In 4-H, I have attended, and then went on to teach, numerous leadership and group trainings. In NJROTC, I attended the Area 5 Leadership Academy, graduated as the Second Honor Cadet of the 2014 Academy, and was selected to be an Aide for the 2015 Academy. I held, or currently hold, leadership positions in both organizations and I feel I set a good example for my peers and subordinates. Through any task, I am enthusiastic about my job and…

Throughout PFC I have learned and gained many new important factors in life whether they are new skills to lifelong friends. Being in PFC has exposed me to new ways of learning and becoming a better leader in the future. From the beginning, I have inherited new skills through the trainings conducted and last minute conflicts on the freshman days of service I have been a part of. The trainings were not just a way of torture, waking up on Saturday mornings dragging myself to work so I can sit there for four hours just to listen to someone talk and instruct us on what to do. Those trainings were another way for us all to get together, learn about each other’s qualities, and being able to deliver to the program to creating a better community for…

I chose to do my final for the Criminal Justice academy on the United States Coast Guard. The reason I chose that topic is because it has always interested me and I plan to hopefully pursue a career in that field. My opinion on the Coast Guard is that it is the best branch of the military and there is no other like them and without the Coast Guard, the United States would not be the way it is today. To support my statement I’m going to talk about what they are, when they got started, what their purpose is, and what makes them different and stand out from all the other branches in the United States army.…

I would like to congratulate you on your successful completion of this class, as well as, writing a fascinating discussion post concerning the relevance of today’s homeland security needs in the United States. I agree with you that when looking at the requirements for homeland security here inside the United States, we should look at how we have deployed our resources and the effects that could make during a large-scale attack here at home. We have learned over the course of this class that an organization should regularly conduct assessments to ensure that all plans of preparation, action, and recovery are not only intact but up to date to meet the current needs of the origination (Fisher, 2004).…
