Software Engineering, Information Technology for Management of Enterprise and Software
Project Management enhanced my interest in IT. Working on numerous projects in my final year as a part of the academic curriculum gave me an in-depth understanding in the field of web development, databases, software engineering, and project management. I became accustomed to languages like Hypertext Markup Language, Visual Basic Scripts, applications like Microsoft
Access, and gained useful insights about the importance of creating user friendly GUIs. In addition to these experiences, extensive lectures expanded my knowledge of topics like Enterprise Resource
Planning and Supply Chain Management, which coupled IT and management. . One of the important projects was implemented in a multinational company named Tata Consultancy Services which was delivered successfully and it was appreciated by the company’s management as well as my academic faculty.
This also helped me to improve my organization skills, my capability to work with strict deadlines, as well as working as a member of a team. I was affiliated with the organization team of non-technical events like ‘Artmela’. I also headed the publicity team for the technical festival of my college - ‘Nucleus’. Being involved in these activities remarkably developed my interpersonal and managerial skills.
My recent experiences while working on projects at Tata Consultancy Services and well as being in charge of several extracurricular events at my university has sparked a desire in management. That’s why I aspire to blend the field of management with my background in IT.
