Part One: My Interest
Every nurse is drawn to this profession from a desire to care, to serve, or to help. A nurse practitioner is educated and trained to provide health care, diagnose, and treat an illness or condition. Explaining this career will help people understand the importance and dedication behind it. This field is forever changing to improve and fit the need of patients. Being a nurse practitioner requires passion and gives the opportunity to help people which is the ultimately gift in life.
Throughout my whole life I have been indecisive. When I was younger I would tell my mom I wanted to be a dentist because I had my teeth cleaned that day. The next day I would tell her I wanted to be a teacher. I basically grew …show more content…
For example: the library, tutors, or blowing off steam and stress at the gym. It is a very open campus, with a diverse community, and great restaurant options nearby. Yet like all good things there are some cons. Great to hear there is no murder, but rape is a serious issue in colleges and there have been a few robbery cases and arsen. That being said throughout the last few years numbers have dropped.
Part Three: The Reflection
I would describe a moment of my day in the future to be surrounded by coworkers at lunch or spending as much time as possible with the patients. Building personal relationships with the people I am with everyday is an important value to me and always was since I was young and growing up. After finishing my research on nurse practitioners, I still have several questions about the career. To fully get an understanding of this occupation the best thing to do would be to shadow a nurse practitioner for the day. Not only would I learn all the little details but would also experience it.
Across the entire course of my research I was able to learn about nurse practitioners duties, environment, and how to accomplish my goal in becoming one. Along with data about wages, and facts about colleges that I am now interested
